How To Easily Make Your Garage 10x Brighter In 3 Minutes for $40

My neighbor, Paul Rutherford, is an extraordinary guy, and I mean that literally: extra ordinary. It seemed like every time I’d head out for the evening walk with my family, he was always in his garage tinkering with cars for hours, often late into the night. I’m not a car enthusiast myself, I’m more of a family man, and trying to make it in the current economic climate as a single income family is its own kind of magic. But I confess I was envious of Paul’s garage.

He had a sweet setup, some kind of upgraded lighting system that spilled into the street between our homes. I’m talking, this light was bright enough to make Paul’s cars shine like they’re in a showroom. I admired the setup for weeks, thinking he must have spent a fortune to have a professional install an expensive system to upgrade the weak standard lighting.

I’m no handyman like Paul, but I needed something. I was tired of stumbling through my own dimly-lit garage that felt like a glorified cave. I looked into installing lighting options, but they all involved lots of money and complicated electrical work. The thought of working with wires lead me to picturing myself wasting hours of my life floundering and ending up getting myself electrocuted. There’s NO WAY I can do that, it’s too complicated, I thought. I need a professional. But, professional installation of a lighting system was just too far out of my price range (single income family, remember?) so I thought my situation was hopeless until I finally decided to ask Paul how he did it.

His response shocked me. Paul told me he was hanging out with a rich buddy of his who had a massive 6 car garage with an expensive lighting rig. They were spending a few minutes chatting about his buddy’s new car project when Paul said he had a revelation—he couldn’t afford a 6 car garage or fancy lighting, but he was a handyman, and he could at least come up with something to brighten up his garage. Literally overnight, Paul got to work and created a prototype lighting system that suited his needs. He purposely designed it to be simple to install, cost-effective and most importantly, he wanted it to be BRIGHT. He did it, and as of 2026, the LuminaBulb has already sold 465,000 units.

I trusted Paul’s word, but that number was staggering to me. Almost a half a million sales? I had to see what people were saying about it. They weren’t just talking. People were raving about it in a sea of 5 star reviews! At that moment I knew I HAD to buy one of these for myself. Paul offered to give me one for free, since I’m his neighbor and all, but Paul’s a really nice guy. I didn’t want to freeload off of him, I wanted to support his business by purchasing his light myself.

We just purchased our first home. Lighting was very poor and the garage and basement storage room was really lacking. When I saw this it looked like exactly what we needed. This unique bulb helps with reducing electrical cost and improves lighting! Just what we asked for!

Yes, this small LED fixture really made a difference in our garage with its ten-foot high ceiling. In fact, we replaced our four 100-watt CFL bulbs with this small fantastic LED screw-in fixture. It was REALLY a night and day difference in the amount of light generated.

This is a genius design to enlighten the garage with minimum installation. I wish I saw this product earlier before I installed 12 light sockets on my garage ceiling last year... With this one, I think I only need may be four. The installation is pretty straight forward. Just replace it with my regular light bulb and it’s done.
People are even telling their friends and family about LuminaBulb on social media…
What is it and how does it work?

The LuminaBulbs are like a futuristic ceiling fan, and that was the coolest part; the 3 Light Heads are adjustable up to 90 degrees; say goodbye to dark corners! The lights are made with a new type of heat-conducting material that makes for better heat dissipation and ensures the lifespan of the LED bulbs, up to an incredible 50,000 hours of energy savings. This design has another benefit—it avoids electric shock, eliminating the hidden dangers of standard lighting, and is totally mercury-free and lead-free, with 100% environmental protection and is 100% safe.

When I saw the amount of light this thing was putting out, I realized it wasn’t just a garage light, either; it could easily illuminate full basements, workshops, utility or recreation rooms, storage rooms, barns, equipment rooms—any and all large area lighting requirements are easily met with this lighting setup.

“Okay,” I told Paul, “this thing is great. It’ll brighten up my garage, but it doesn’t make me a handyman, and the thought of trying to wire this myself…I’m going to get myself electrocuted, or have to pay a lot of money to have a professional install it.”

Paul smiled and told me how wrong I was.

He designed it to be simple and convenient to install. No tools, wiring, or expensive professionals required. “It’s as easy as screwing in a light bulb,” he said, “except it’s brighter than a light bulb.”

I Tried It For Myself. Here’s What I Found…

When I stepped out into my own garage, it always felt a bit like walking down a street late at night between streetlights. Just enough light not to trip over myself, but not enough to really see much of anything else. I used to have a flashlight by the door just in case I needed to go digging through my storage, and if I misplaced the flashlight (or one of my kids found it) I was pretty much out of luck.

I decided I’d had enough of that. I ordered the light through the official website, and it arrived in just a few days. I knew from the moment I opened it up it was a high-quality product.

These weren’t flimsy glass bulbs that I had to worry about dropping or smudging with my fingerprints like your average light bulbs, but the part I was really worried about was the installation process. I actually laughed out loud when I read the directions:

  1. Remove old bulb
  2. Install new light
  3. Turn on switch

It really was that easy. Check out the before and after of how it turned out:

Is It Worth It?

Absolutely! I liked it so much I even bought a few more units to brighten up my patio, attic, and the storage shed in my backyard—all for much less than the cost of other pricier setups, and NO crazy professional installation fees or complicated electrical work on my part.

It’s been a little over 6 months since I installed it, and I’m still bringing my friends over to show it off. With a quick, simple fix, I eliminated a daily nuisance. And the best part? It still brightens up my entire garage as bright as the first day I installed it.

These work great for us. It was always dark in the garage. In the winter months seems to take forever for our old florescent lights to turn on. bought a couple of these and screwed them in as replacements and that did the trick.

This light is super bright and as easy to install as a regular light bulb. I had high expectations because I had heard a lot about this light and was still blown away how bright it was.

Swapped out 2 60w bulbs with these. Our garage was always dark. The 2 60w lights just didn’t give us the light we needed. This was easy to install without having to mess with existing wires or installing new wires.

Replaced an incandescent light bulb in our laundry. I directed two “wings” towards the washer and dryer to better see in these machines. The white opaque shells help soften the very bright light. This light is a comparatively great value.
